Aluminum Oxide, Al2O3 has an outstanding properties like superior mechanical strength, Vickers hardness, compressive strength, fracture toughness. Accordingly, it is wear resistant, and corrosion resistant. Because of it is a metallic oxide with well-formed crystal structure, the parts made from it have good performance of corrosion resistance, are insoluble in weak acid or alkaline solution, let alone normal water or medical fluid. The ceramic alumina parts are only slightly soluble in strong acid and alkaline solution.
So, it is usually applied as pump components instead of metal shafts in variant pumps like micro pump, shield pump, circulating pump, centrifugal pump, impeller pump, magnetic drive pump, ground source heat pump, aquarium pump, fountain pump, DC circulation pump etc.
The Dimensions of the ceramic shaft is φ4.5*L126mm, made from 95% Alumina or Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3) with white color.
