Alumina ceramics is a non-organic material with much higher hardness than metallic parts. Because of the universal existence of aluminum and oxygen, the price of alumina material maintain a comparatively lower price than other materials.
Technical ceramic is one of the ceramic categories, which refers the ceramic components, usually made from alumina ceramic, zirconia ceramic, silicon carbide or silicon nitride, used in manufacturing equipment, devices, machines, or other relevant facilities. These ceramic components are abrasion resistant, corrosion resistant, super hard and high temperature resistant, and can offer considerable advantages over metal components for tough, long-lifespan products like domestic and industrial pumps.
Alumina ceramic balls are mainly used as mechanical equipment components in bearings to increase their abrasion performance. By comparison with steel counterparts, alumina ceramics have properties of higher hardness, better roughness, better corrosion resistance and lower thermal expansion which make the bearings run longer time regardless of speed and temperature, and lubrication is also required less.
Alumina ceramic balls are typically applied in balls for valves, vacuum pumps, ball bearings, high precision calibration, electrically isolating and precision bearings and control balls.
