Alumina is a most commonly used ceramic material for pump components for its low cost and striking durability. Usually pistons made from 99% alumina ceramic are used as an important components in heating, dosing and high pressure pumps used in industrial, food and agricultural applications where corrosion and abrasion resistance are required and service longevity is needed.
